X-Men Battle of the Atom este evento empieza cuando McCoy Trae a los X-MEN del pasado para que wolverine y ciclope recapaciten, despues del evengto Avengers VS X-Men, ya que ciclope asesino al Charles Javier, entonces todo iba de acuerdo al plan hasta que de la nada aparecen los X-MEN del FUTURO y con el objetivo de regresar a los viejos a su tiempo, estos se niegan y comienza una persecucion y generando grandes batallas.
